February 1, 2009
Dear Calvert Parents:
Winter greetings from all
of us at the Calvert High School Campus!
We, of course, are hoping that the groundhog cooperates with us as we
tire of the snow, cold, delays and cancellations! Our thoughts now begin to turn to the arrival
of spring and the many activities in front of us. The Kairos Retreat for our
Seniors and Junior leaders takes place Feb. 8th – 11th. Please keep them in your prayers!
We ask that you read the
attachments with this month’s mailing so we can all be on the same page.
We enjoyed the visiting 8th
Graders from the St. Joseph Campus. They
are a very nice group of young people and we are looking forward to them
joining us here.
Just as an early
“heads-up,” during the week of March 16th – 20th, we will
be administering the Ohio Graduation Tests to all Sophomores and those who
still need to pass one or more. We will
be following a 2-Hour Delay schedule at the high school all week. Freshmen, Juniors and Seniors will report to
school at 10:00 a.m. with the “test-takers” reporting at 8:00 a.m. Our Cafeteria, through the generosity of the
Academic Boosters, will offer a light breakfast each day at 7:30 a.m. to give
the students a good start to their day.
During the last week of
February, we begin our Lenten Journey with Ash Wednesday Mass.
Thank you to all involved
with our Calvert Catholic Schools for your generous gifts of time, talent and
treasure. Please help us to spread the
Good News about our schools to friends and neighbors alike. Have a great month! May God continue to Bless all of us!
Sincerely in Christ,
Anthony
