Bob Stover was raised in Willard, Ohio. He graduated from Willard High School in 1969.
In high school, he lettered in football and track and served as the student council president.
Mr. Stover earned his B.A. degree from Capital University in 1973 and his M. Ed. from the
University of Pittsburgh 1986. Mr. Stover has also taken classes at The Ohio State
University, University of Toledo, Washington and Jefferson College and Bowling Green
State University. Mr. Stover majored in Math Education, Computer Science, and Data
Processing. While in college, Mr. Stover lettered in football, track, and tennis. Mr. Stover
has been married for 36 years and has two children. Amanda received her undergraduate degree (2002)
and master's degree (2005) from the University of Pittsburgh; is married and living in Pittsburgh.
Elizabeth graduated from The Ohio State University in 2007 and received her master's degree from the
University of Pittsburgh in 2009. Mr. Stover enjoys camping, scubadiving, rafting, and traveling with his family.
He is the author of "White Water Rafting, a Guide Training Manual", (which is the official training
manual for Laurel Highlands River Tours) located in Ohiopyle, Pa. He is listed in the 1972 edition
of Who's Who Among American Universities and Colleges; in the 2005 edition of Who's Who
Among American Teachers and earned National Board Certification in Nov. 2004.
Mr. Stover does not currently coach any sports, however he has coached football, soccer,
swimming, and boys and girls tennis. Mr. Stover's future plans include publishing four books
and taking a trip around the world.
Teaching
Career |
Mr. Stover has been teaching for thirty five years. He has taught at Delphos
St. Johns in Delphos, OH; Immaculate Conception High School in Washington, PA;
has been an adjunct professor at Washington and Jefferson College and Tiff in University;
served as the principal of St. Peter's High School in Mansfield
and is currently teaching at Calvert where he also serves as our
Dean of Students. Mr. Stover is in his eighteenth year teaching at Calvert High School.
Mr. Stover expects his students to "think math daily" and "do your best everyday".
