Raymond Stearns

Mr. Stearns graduated from Defiance High School. He then attended Cumberland College.

He went on to get his B.S. at Muskingum College. He received his MAT at BGSU. Mr Stearns

received additional credit hours at Ohio State, Indiana University, Purdue University, Ball

State, Butler University, DePauw University, and Miami University (Ohio).

Mr. Stearns has been teaching for 28 years. He has been at Calvert for 12 years and

teaches Physical Science at both the St. Joe and Calvert campuses, Global Science, Chemistry, and Physics.

As a teacher, he wants his students to learn to think for themselves. When Mr. Stearns has free time, he

often stays at the school to grade papers or take money for dances and sporting events.

He also enjoys ceramics, music, and reading.
