for Classes |
Senior:
Whether you plan on going to a two-year, four-year or trade school the military,
or work force ---every student needs to show that they did not let down in
grades, attendance and discipline. This is why guidance counselors send "final
transcripts" out--no matter what you do. While you may change or alter
your decision. Make sure you take care of all the day-to-day items and remember
that every little thing counts!!!
Junior:
To "emphasize again"-- this is a very critical year for you, so
focus on turning things around if need or continue on your positive track. By the end of this year,
you will have six semesters in, and this is the first thing that any school, work place,
or military will see. Your grades, attendance and discipline updates should
represent who you truly are; if they don't, do something about it. If you
haven't taken the ACT or the SAT yet, you need to sign up for the next one.
You should be visiting colleges/universities on weekends, February 16 and during the days we have off at Easter.
Sophomore:
Now that you are almost half way through high school, you should have a solid
grade point average, have enough credits and good study habits. Make sure
you take care of doing all the right things in school: turning in all your
homework on time, asking questions in class, reviewing every night so that
you keep up to date and don't need to "cram" for a test.
Freshmen:
Now that you have one semester "under your belt", you need to try
and get your grades up, or if your grades are great, then maintain those grades.
You always want to do your best; make sure what is on your paper represents
who you truly are! Good grades, attendance and discipline say a lot about
you as a person...
