CALVERT ATHLETIC BOOSTER MEETING April 7, 2010

Meeting
started at 7:00 p.m. with Randy Hunt leading those present in prayer and
calling the meeting to order. The
minutes from the March 10, 2010 meeting were reviewed. Barb Willman made a
motion to accept the minutes as wrote. Linda
Ritzler seconded the motion. Motion passed. Treasurer’s report for the month of March was
reviewed and approved. Joe Scherger stated the 3
point contest at basketball was down this year.
Pick 3's net incomes was $923.
Reverse Raffle of the Spring Fling have $7,200 paid to date with 160
tickets paid. There are 10 to 12
available tickets.
OLD BUSINESS
Scorers Table - Randy Hunt
mentioned we need to work on getting additional sponsors.
Athletic Complex - There was a workday in March and
everything is ready for the spring sports.
Decals - Chris Lutz has 2 Seneca heads for $10 each
which were ordered and declined when arrived.
NEW BUSINESS -- ADMINISTRATION REPORTS
Dan Traxler announced the
golf coach, Ryan Bloomfield, was hired and introduced. He is Mohawk Country Club's golf pro. The football coach applicants will be interviewed
in 2 weeks.
Spring Fling - Dave Bursa, Roger Perry and Tony Gase
will be lining up the big board. It was
stated we could not put booze in the washer to raffle. The tables will be set up by the baseball
team Friday night. Dave Horn advised the
Big 6 wheel will be available. Tony Gase
will take care of the Bingo Cards. Pam
Wertz will line up the pop, water and pizza.
Miletti Open - Dave Horn and Jack
Felton volunteered to help the day of the event. Joe Gase will be driving the drink cart.
New Members - The following new board members
suggestions were Tom Gase, Brian Bennet, Bryan Deats, Mike Somers, Steve Somers, Mark Zimmerman and Paul Burtis. If anyone
has additional names, please e-mail Randy Hunt.
Officers all need elected yet.
Treasure Hunt - This is scheduled for Saturday, May
8.
Track Team - Coach Behm advised the tent for the
track team is in need of replacement.
They currently rent the tent out for $75. The boosters receive $50 of this and the
track team receives $25 for setting it up. He presented a price of $1,600 and
is to do additional research. An e-mail will be sent out for voting purposes.
CCS Transportation - We have donated $5,000 in the
past. A budget must be created before we
can decide on a number for this year.
Troy Bogner questioned if
there was going to be an Acme League. If
they were looking for a coach, he would volunteer his time to do this.
Dave Horn made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Chris Lutz seconded the motion. Motion passed.
